Month: August 2011

Sometimes I HATE hotmail! This is the third time in the last 6 months or so that a whole page of e-mails disappeared. This weekend I finally began to attack our inbox which I had pretty much ignored since the last few weeks I was pregnant with Lorelei. It was quite the task but I had made it most of the way through (and vowed to myself to NEVER get that behind again!) when the whole second page of e-mails disappeared with the last 20 or so I still needed to respond to.

One of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to decorate for a party that has a good bit of impact is to make a banner. We had all of the supplies on hand except the ribbon, which was either one of those 50 or 99 cent skinny ribbons rolls.  Even if we had needed to purchase the supplies (an old book and a few pages of black cardstock) it still would have come to under five dollars.

(Jamie’s favorite book is Gone with the Wind, and one of the days that we were shooting tutus, as we were picking up to head back up to the house we VERY quickly tried to take a shot inspired by it).

For the past three years, while Jon is gone for the month of July recruiting, I have packed up and gone to New Hampshire to spend the month with my family.

I should probably start off by admitting that I tricked you—or at least
I tried to.  You see, the above
picture has absolutely nothing to do with my post below.  Truth be told, I wasn’t entirely
confident that my own sketches would draw you in so I borrowed a random photo
of Jenni’s.  Hope you don’t mind.  Now on to the important stuff…

Since I now basically handle all of the grunt work here at Dear Lillie
with little-to-no help from my task-doling sister, I figured that it was about
time that I made a name for myself within fashion/home décor circles.  And what better way to do this than to
release my own line of items through Dear Lillie.  Without further ado, allow me to introduce you to our new men’s
line—Dear Billie.

As I mentioned last week, we will be hosting a giveaway each week from now until we open on September 1st. It’s a bit late this week seeing how it is already Friday, but better late than never, right? First, though, I thought I would post a few pictures from our trip to my uncle’s farm stand yesterday.
