Month: September 2014

Welcome to stop number two on the “Eclectically Fall House Tour”.

Be sure to start at Kelly’s blog first. She is hosting this fun event. Her home is beautiful and I cannot wait to see how she decorated it for fall.

We finally found mirrors for our upstairs bathroom. I had been on the hunt for what seemed like forever and was thrilled to come across these ones from Wayfair. They perfectly matched the faucets and were narrow enough but still nice and tall. They were just what I had in my head.

Now that it’s September we’ve started adding some autumn touches around the house. Despite a lot of hunting for them we haven’t come across any real pumpkins yet and it’s still quite hot here so I’m hoping that by adding a few darker cozy touches to this room will help make it feel like fall is on the horizon.

We are big fans of Birch Lane and are so excited to be working with them again. This time we are partnering with them to bring you a wonderful giveaway just in time for fall! And to show you a little peek into our study and how we’ve added some autumn elements in there.

I won’t bore you with lots of words on this post seeing how my last post was quite wordy for me. =) Basically here is the progress we’ve made so far on our dining room. I’d like to get two more of the oval chairs to use where the bench is and just move the bench somewhere else and I’m still pondering wallpaper or at least painting the walls a charcoal color but haven’t gone ahead with that.

I have been on the hunt for a hutch for our dining room pretty much since the day we moved in. I have something in my mind but so far have not had any luck finding it at a reasonable price. I got all the dark trim in the room and windows and the chair rail painted Simply White and I painted the walls Gray Owl at 75% last fall.
