Month: January 2018

You could say this week’s project was a bit of a team effort, as I (Jason) had a lot of help from Jamie and her husband Josh! Jamie had been wanting a window seat to fit between the two bookshelves in their master bedroom for a little while now, and I figured it was something I could probably complete on my own without much trouble.

For the most part I love the organized, less cluttered feeling in our house that comes in January when all of the Christmas decorations go back into the attic but in this room I actually really missed the tree! I loved walking by the living room every day and the cozy feeling it adding to the room.

One of the projects that I have had on my list now for months and months but kept avoiding was painting my window seat and mantel. They had been primed back when they were built last winter but there’s always been so many other projects to tackle and seeing how the primer was white it wasn’t really that noticeable.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! We are excited today to share some changes we made to our master bedroom. I originally was planning on painting the walls in our master dark but then ended up going with white. I kept thinking about the dark walls though and finally decided to do it last week which was perfect timing for some new bedding that we were getting from our partner, Serena and Lily!

This week we decided to make a new wooden canvas frame for Jamie (of Dear Lillie and Bluestone Hill). Just a warning–this is Jason post, so aside from Jamie’s pictures of the finished frame I am issuing a POOR PHOTO QUALITY ALERT!

Jamie has a canvas from Fine Art by Deann that she loves and has wanted to frame for a little while now, so we thought we could make one and show you all the process!

Good afternoon! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. We are having ANOTHER snow day here! Ha! My kids sure are enjoying it. I have been busy painting our master bedroom and working on a few other projects that I will be sharing soon but for today I just wanted to pop in with a few kitchen pictures.
