Inspired You

Inspired You, the much anticipated book by Marian Parsons (known here in blogland as Miss Mustard Seed) was officially released today! Marian is talented on so many levels. Not only did she write the book, she styled and photographed it all as well!

Marian’s blog is one of my absolute favorites and I have to say her book is every bit as gorgeous as her blog. I think it goes without saying that it is a visual treat, but it is also a truly enjoyable read. Inspired You is not only loaded with tips and tutorials but it’s also full of heartwarming personal stories (like the free piano her husband surprised her with), inspiration and encouragement. You don’t have to love decorating to love this book. Reading it will inspire you to start following your dreams. What Marian has accomplished in the last few years is mind-boggling. Along with having a wildly successful blog, she’s been featured in multiple magazines, was on the Nate Show, has her very own paint line and now this book!

I highly recommend picking up a copy for yourself and it would also make a great Christmas gift. And guess what? We are giving away TWO copies here on our blog today!

 She takes us room by room and shows before’s and after’s as well as how she went about each room and gives tips on how to go about this in your own home.

 She gives a tutorial for both the chalkboard and draperies and lots of furniture painting tips!

(one of my smaller paintings is on a page or two too)! It probably seems a little obnoxious to mention that, like i'm bragging about it and all, but that's only because I AM!
