I’ve been wanting to add some of this seafoam color in here for quite a while now. I figured I would wait until after the holidays once I was ready for some cheerful spring-like touches. One of the things I love most about sticking with a neutral palette is that it is so easy to switch around a few pillows or accessories and get a new look. It obviously doesn’t change things that much, but it does help me look around and feel like the promise of spring is on the horizon!

What was painted first, chair rail or wall? My husband is inquiring. We have a chair rail in our bedroom and we're thinking of painting the stained wood.
Hi Sandy! We actually didn't paint the walls in this room, but in the other ones that had the chair rail in we always paint that and the trim first.
Love the added touches with the seafoam color. Great color for spring. Your mantle is lovely as well.
Wow, the before and after shots! I had no idea the room used to look like that. Incredible transformation. The touches of blue are great as well and do indeed remind us that spring is on its way.

I love to decorate in a neutral palette and use accents to bring in pops of color too. It makes a room more soothing and is a lot less costly when you want to change things up! You are doing a great with your place!

They seem to be relatively sturdy. I have been pleased with the quality!
