Good Morning! I can’t believe a week from today is Christmas Eve! I feel like the older I get the more quickly December flies by! Today we are popping in to share our family room with it’s simple Christmas touches. I originally was going to put a Christmas tree in here but ended up deciding to go with a simple garland and lights over the mantel, my favorite nativity set on the right side of the bookshelves and my favorite Mary and Joseph figurine in the bookshelves on the left side.

Good morning! We are joining a bunch of our blogging friends for the third installment of this year’s Seasons of Home Tour. Today we are sharing our fall family room with some fall decor. Ours is VERY simple this year – just a couple of pumpkins and some leaves cut from some trees in our yard.
Our new Rose sectional from our sponsor, Interior Define has arrived and we absolutely positively LOVE it! We went with the Mod Velvet fabric in the Narwhal color and the White Oak legs with Antique Casters and it is beautiful! The chaise end has quickly become everyone’s favorite spot and we love that it’s so large that more than one of us can snuggle up on that end.
This room has really made a lot of progress since we moved in this winter but the one thing that we’ve really noticed since moving in is that we’d like to have more seating in here. Functionally speaking it works well having the sofa face the fireplace and help define the family room area but when there is a game on TV it means we kept coming back to the idea of adding either a sectional or a sofa with a chaise lounge.
Pretty much right when we moved in we took down the dated ceiling fan that was here and for several months we didn’t have anything up here at all while I looked for a flush mount. I have had my eye on this gorgeous gold one from Shades of Light for quite some time but wasn’t sure how it would flow with the rest of the room.
