Good morning! With Easter just a couple of weeks away I thought it would be nice to share a quick little cake idea that would be fun to make with your kids. I found the idea for the bunny ears on Pinterest. There were several different versions and it looked like a couple of them were made out of pipe cleaners. We had some left over from project Lola had been working on so I decided to give it a try. I just twisted two together for each ear and then shaped them and then just kind of poked them into the cake. It was really and truly so quick and easy! Then I just pushed a few tulips (that I got for $3.99 at the grocery store) into the top and that was it! You can just other flowers as well. If you scroll to the bottom I have some pictures of the same thing done with carnations. I usually prefer to make my own cakes (in fact we’ve made several this week) but I was on a time crunch the day I took these photos and I ended up having to get this one at the grocery store. So, even if you don’t like to bake you can start with a pre-made cake and then with a couple simple touches you’ve got a great little Easter dessert that the kids will love! I’d like to make this again, once it is a little closer to Easter, with a home-made cake. Although I have to say this one was delicious.

Here are a bunch of pictures of it from different angles:

And here you can see the same cake with carnations:

Well, that’s it for today! I’ll have more info on the table setting in tomorrow’s blog post. Stay well!
