Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I can’t believe Easter is this Sunday. It sure is flying by! Last year I shared a super easy bunny eared cake and this year I have another bunny eared cake design (which I will be sharing later this week) and then today I wanted to share these simple bunny eared cupcakes.

First I made the cupcakes and let them cool. Then I used a #5 round tip to pipe out some melted chocolate candy pieces into a little bunny ears onto to wax paper that I had placed onto a baking sheet. I just free-handed these but you also could print out a template if you wanted to and place that under the wax paper to trace with the chocolate. Then I put them in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to harden. While they were hardening I mixed up some buttercream frosting and used a 2D piping tip   to decorate the cupcakes. (You can find our video tutorial for this style cupcake here).  As soon as I had finished piping them I peeled the bunny ears off of the wax paper and added them to the cupcakes! Nice and easy and a great dessert idea for the kids on Easter!

For the little mini cake I frosted it using the same technique as the cupcakes and then added some fresh flowers to the top by trimming them way down and lightly pressing them into the center of the top of the cake.

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Warmly, Jenni
