Good morning! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! I wanted to pop in today and share some pictures of the cushion we finally added to our window seat!

For a year now I have been planning on making one but I kept putting it off because I of all DIY projects sewing ones are usually my least favorite. My mom is an excellent seamstress and although I technically know how to sew it is not something I have ever enjoyed although I always wish that I did because I love being able to customize things! Well I recently discovered a company called Patio Lane that custom makes cushions to your exact dimensions and I was so excited to give it a try. I loved that I could choose a sunbrella fabric because this is one of Ruby’s favorite spots in the house so it needed to be a fabric that would be easy to clean. I initially considered going with a patterned fabric which I thought would be fun, but then considered how much I like being able to switch up the pillows on here, especially seasonally so decided it would be best to go with a solid. I chose Granite Canvas and LOVE it. I love how perfectly it fits and how comfy it is and also love the welting detail. Because I am always changing things around in here my husband and kids don’t always notice things but all three of them immediately noticed this cushion when they walked in and got so excited about it – this window seat is a favorite spot not only for Ruby but for the girls too!

Here are a few more pictures:
