Good morning! Today we are excited to be participating for the EIGHTH straight year in the Holiday Housewalk hosted by Jennifer Rizzo! Every year I absolutely love getting to see so many of my favorite houses all decked out for the holidays and I can’t wait to sit down with my coffee this morning and start over at Jen’s blog and check out all of the houses participating in Day One! We are house number six on today’s tour so if you are coming over from Bre’s, welcome! Bre has such a beautiful home and I just love seeing what she does every year!

We moved last month (you can read more about that here) and because we didn’t know where we were going and if I would be able to take Christmas photos I ended up taking photos in our last home so I could fulfill several commitments. Because of that I kept things VERY simple. I pretty much just used a bunch of my faux greenery that I have had for years and years. (It was pretty much all purchased from local shop years ago that has since gone out of business…fortunately I stocked up and have been using it now for years! I’ve never seen anything quite as realistic since!) Then I went outside and cut a bunch of fresh greenery from our yard and sprinkled that throughout the house as well as a few sprigs that I got from Trader Joe’s. I didn’t purchase anything new so it’s all just really simple touches of greenery throughout the house.

Here is our entryway:

I added some vintage style skis that I got years ago from Birch Lane (I don’t think they carry them anymore) and then draped some garland and boxwood and some little bells and that was it in here.

I draped a boxwood garland along the top of the chest to go with the oversized boxwood wreath.

In our dining room I draped another garland along the table. I sprinkled some fresh eucalyptus into the faux garland to give it more substance and then added two vases full of hydrangeas and fresh greenery clippings.

I also added a sheepskin throw over one of the end chairs to add warmth and texture to the space.

In our kitchen I added fresh clippings from the yard:

I also added two small trees in baskets that I found last year at Target. They have them this year too!

In our living room I added a faux wreath that I’ve had for years (also from that local shop that is now closed) and some more flowers and clippings. I kept that pretty consistent throughout the house and loved the subtle touch it adds. I hung one knit stocking that I got at HomeGoods a couple of years ago as well as some jingle bells I found last year at World Market.

Over in the corner of the room I put up one of our trees and kept the look simple with just some mini white lights and some battery operated candles.

In my office I added some knit pillows, a cozy plaid throw, some garland and more vases filled with hydrangeas and fresh clippings.

And here are a few shots of our Master Bedroom. I will have a full post up with lots more photos of it on Wednesday! The tree was from Wayfair, the candles from Amazon and the galvanized tree ring from HomeGoods.

That’s it for today! Now be sure to head on over to Lauren’s for Stop Number Seven!
