Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! We’ve had a busy week working on a bunch of other projects so I just finally finished going through the photos of Lillie’s room this morning. Just like in Lola’s room we started with a basic gray room. Lillie’s room is a great size but just didn’t really have any character to it. Here is the before:

And here it is now. Just like Lola’s room, we aren’t completely done. I am still looking for some pillows, a throw and other artwork to try to add some other colors to the room and I am either going to add a chair or a standing mirror to the empty corner. And we don’t have a plan yet for one wall in the room (you can see that further down on the post). So, although it isn’t completely finished we are definitely getting closer!

I added board and batten to both girls’ rooms because I felt like it would add some character to the space and because both of the wallpaper’s they chose were kind of busy so it helped with the overall look so much! I am not going to do a tutorial on it because there are already so many out there but I will say it was incredibly easy. I did it myself. Lillie’s room took me three days, but Lola’s only took me two to completely install and paint it. And once that was done I hung Lillie’s wallpaper. It was a peel and stick paper and very easy to hang. I definitely would recommend it! The pattern and color is so pretty! We had the standard builder light swapped out for this fun Capiz Shell one that we all love. It adds such a fun touch to her room. It’s on sale right now! And the bed was the first thing she chose for the room. She fell in love with it right away. I actually tried to talk her out of it to start with but I am glad we went with it. She loves to read in bed and it’s a great bed for that! The bedding is from Beddy’s and a favorite of ours. We’ve had hers for years now and just LOVE it! Beddy’s really is the most amazing invention for kid’s beds. If you use the code DEARLILLIE20 you can get 20% off your order with them!

This dresser was Lola’s but when we moved into our rental last fall it didn’t fit in her room so we ended up swapping and it became Lillie’s. I have been saying since we first bought it that I was going to spray paint the pulls gold or swap them out but I never think of it until I am looking at it on my computer -ha! We chose the dog artwork for her room and I have to say she, Lola and I all squealed when we saw it! It reminds us so much of Ruby when she was a baby! We love it so much. Minted is my favorite spot to look for art and I always have the hardest time deciding because they have so many great options. I am so glad we chose this one though – it’s perfect! The little toolbox was from years ago and a fun addition to her room now.

This hanging chair is one of her favorite things. We got it for her as a birthday gift several years ago and she loves curling up with a book in it! I don’t think they sell this exact one anymore but this one is similar (but also much more expensive). And we love the oversized pouf!

And we LOVE the pineapple hamper!

I almost didn’t bother to take pictures of this wall because right now it’s completely temporary. We’ve got the cubed storage piece from the bonus room in here for now (but it probably won’t stay here) and I made her that sign years and years ago and now that’s she’s older I think we will end up storing it in the attic for her and putting something a little more fun over there. We’ve got quite a few other projects going on right now, so for the time being this wall will stay like this and then once we have some time we will figure out a more permanent plan for this side of the room.

She’s a huge Harry Potter fan so she loved this Golden Snitch pillow. (I think we got one of the last ones. It was on clearance and I think they are sold out now).

We are still on the hunt for some more “fun” lamps that look a little less grown up. But these work great for now.

Here are a few wide angled shots:
