Good morning! I am so glad the weekend is here! It’s been a long, busy week here. Jason’s been in town and we’ve been working on few projects that we will be be sharing soon but for today I wanted to share a change we made in our entryway! When we moved we put the bench that we had in our dining room at our last house in our entryway. Two of the legs got damaged during the move though and therefore it wasn’t as sturdy as it had been so it always made me a little nervous everytime guests would sit on it – I’d always hold my breath – ha! I had kept my eye out since we moved in but hadn’t seen anything I loved until I came across this gorgeous bench from our partner, Birch Lane! I loved the wingback style of it along with the beautiful tufting and the shape of the back.

Once we swapped out the bench I ended up having to do some artwork swapping around the house too because the piece I had there didn’t fit anymore – the back of the bench covered it. I took this architectural piece from the playroom. I bought it on clearance at a little shop in South Carolina over ten years ago and it’s still one of my favorite pieces. I found another piece to put up there and for now am using this here although I wish it were a tiny bit larger. I love the overall feel though that it has in here.

My original plan was to put some baskets under the bench for storage for gloves, mittens and scarves however it didn’t look quite right so instead I added this rattan suitcase next to the bench. I love that it looks pretty but also adds a great spot to store things too!

I love filling baskets with flowers. I just slip a basic vase or pitcher inside it with water and then load in the flowers. It gives a fun freshly picked feel to an arrangement, especially in an entryway or kitchen.
