For the most part I love the organized, less cluttered feeling in our house that comes in January when all of the Christmas decorations go back into the attic but in this room I actually really missed the tree! I loved walking by the living room every day and the cozy feeling it adding to the room. Last week I added some fresh flowers to the room along with a new, much needed fireplace screen and I love the freshened up feel it has. We also added a great little storage trunk to the left of the piano to keep extra sheet music and piano books in! It came in a set and the other trunk is in our living room – I’ll share a picture of that later this week.

We got the fireplace screen from Birch Lane and I love the simple lightweight design of it. It makes it easy to move and adds a nice little touch to the room.

This room is definitely a favorite reading spot for our family!

And Lillie’s spends hours every week playing the piano.

I love the modern touch these acrylic frames add to the room.
