Blue and White Pool Decor

Good morning! Goodness, it’s been a long time since I’ve written a blog post. We are finally starting to feel settled here in Ohio (you can read about our unexpected move here) and I’ve got a new computer so I am ready to start blogging again regularly. To start with, I wanted to share our new outdoor space with it’s blue and white pool decor. Then I’ve got a mood boards of our light fixtures we’ve already swapped out. And today I photographed my office and Lillie’s room so once I have a chance go through those pictures I will share them. And then I have a whole ton of projects to get started on.

So, first up is our outdoor space. This was by far the biggest selling point with this house. The market was crazy back in the spring when we were looking, so I actually didn’t get to see the house in person until after we had owned it for a few weeks, which is kind of crazy – haha!  I shared all these images on our Instagram page because I took them all with my phone because I didn’t have a computer to transfer my “real camera” pictures onto. Now that I have my new computer up and running though, I wanted to share them here too. (And as always, there is a very detailed source list at the bottom of the post with links to all of the items shown).

If you prefer a video format here’s one I shared on Instagram (otherwise just keep scrolling for more still shots):

Both Ruby and Teddy are both enjoying the back yard, but I have to say Ruby in particular is LOVING it. She’s made herself quite at home on the chaise lounges. The table we brought with us and I painted it with a white exterior paint to help it go better with everything else out here. The side chairs were the best price I could find for that style chair and I have to say so far I am thrilled with them. They dry off almost immediately and were easy to put together and quite sturdy. I found the end chairs on sale at an outlet nearby but they are also available online. I’ve had the vase for a few years now and the lights and trampoline were already here so I don’t have links for any of them.

The spheres in the pool are solar powered and light up at night. The fringed umbrella and the spheres are probably my two most favorite purchases for out here. The poolside hoop has already provided hours and hours of entertainment for our whole family.

We brought the fire table and egg chairs from our last house (the fire table is one of my favorite outdoor pieces we’ve ever had). The patio set is from here.

I  was torn on doing a black and white color scheme out here or going with blue and white pool decor and the girls both strongly preferred the blue and white option so I went with that and and am so happy I  did.
