Good morning and Happy Sunday! Today I am joining a bunch of my blogging friends in our final installment of this years Seasons of Home Holiday Series. Today we are sharing our Christmas entertaining posts. For this table setting I am using the same long candle holder we made a few weeks ago but stuck with just simple greenery and white candlesticks along with gray and white dishes for a simple more elegant holiday look.

I made this candle holder using this tutorial here and it makes such an impact for very little money! The piece of wood I used cost me $4! I used 15″ long ivory tapers in it for an elegant look and then used mostly fresh greenery clipped from our back yard along with a bundle of Eucalyptus that was $2.99 at Trader Joe’s. I’ve had most of the tableware for years now but did add in these gray plates recently and really love them!

I’ve always loved this type of table setting although they certainly only work if you are able to have a buffet style meal. Every house we’ve lived in up until now we’ve had a sideboard right next to our dining table until this house. Fortunately though the large kitchen island is right next to this table so that allows us to use that as a buffet setup when needed.

I love the magic of candlelight – particularly at Christmas with the twinkling lights of the tree in the background!

And here are a few pictures without the candles lit. Although in real life it is much prettier with them lit, sometimes it throws the coloring off in photographs so I always like to take some without them lit as well.

And then here are a few with some orange slices added in. (You can read more about how we dried them here in this post).

I love the traditional Christmas feel they add to table.
