Good morning! Today I am joining a bunch of my blogging friends to share our Seasons of Home autumn tablescape. Growing up in New England, fall was my absolute favorite time of year. It still is, but here in the south, it’s not nearly as enjoyable – ha! With weather in the 90’s it can be hard to get into the fall spirit and even harder to find natural fall decor like pumpkins. So I generally share some “early fall” decorating pictures for the Season of Home tour and then later in October or November add in more traditional fall decor.

Teddy says hi!

Because of the move I have been busy painting and working on bigger projects getting rooms settled so I went with a really simple tablescape. My plan had been to make either an apple or pumpkin cake but I ran out of time so I used a chocolate chip bundt cake from Everything Bundt Cakes and dressed it up a bit.

I added some plums and blackberries to add some rich fall colors in and then sprinkled some leaves and berries cut from the yard and woods and one package of eucalyptus from the grocery store. You can set the table up like this for a dinner or dessert or for an event and then afterwards pop the fruit into a bowl (plums are my favorite and these ones have been delicous!) and the leaves and branches into a vase (I’ll show some pictures further down of how it looks now that we’ve eaten the cake – ha!)

Lola loves this picture where it looks like Teddy is winking – ha!

Here are the flowers now all put together into a vase with a few hydrangeas I cut added in. This helps add a subtle touch to fall and will last a week or two. (If you look close you can spot Teddy’s little tail).  And I added the fruit to some bowls in the kitchen. I’ll share some kitchen photos tomorrow or Thursday.

That’s it for today! Now be sure to head on over and check out all of these gorgeous fall tables!
