I had been really missing having the color scheme we had in the den/study of our last house and decided as much as I did NOT want to paint our living room again, I should just bite the bullet and do it and I am so glad I did. It’s not finished yet – I am looking for the right rug for the space and I’m still playing around with a lot of the details but here is what it looks like so far. Once I decided to go with white walls and a black mantel I figured I would look for some artwork to add to the room that had some brown and black in it. Lillie has always loved horses so I thought this horse print from our sponsor, Minted would be a great addition above the piano seeing how she spends so much time here.

Then above the sofa I went with this print that has more of a modern feel to it. I’ve been eyeing this print for close to a year now so am so excited that I found a place for it!

Here are a few slightly more wide angled shots. I will take some fuller ones once I have finished the room! I still am on the hunt for the right rug, sconces and some other finishing touches.

We also added a new print in my office. I will share a full detailed post of the updates we have added in there this weekend but for now here is a little peek:

  1. Your style is lovely! Regarding your round dining room mirror – could you share any more info on it – what color/size, etc. is it? When I click one source link it says Joss & Main and on another source link it says Wayfair and both pages just bring up pages of listings and I’d love to find this mirror. Thank you kindly for your help.

    1. Thanks so much! The name of that mirror is the “Devon Wall Mirror” from Wayfair. Joss & Main is a Wayfair-owned site, so they often carry the same items. A lot of the items are put up in flash-sales though, so they are only available for short period of time. Unfortunately this is the case with that mirror, as it appears to have been discontinued (which is why the generic mirror page loads when the link is clicked).

  2. I completely agree, other than your comment about grey being ‘trendy’. It hasn’t been trendy for several years now. This dark grey is passé, or it is at least in the UK.
