A while ago we shared some photos of our den with our new sofa that Arhaus sent us and mentioned at the end of it that we were moving it into our family room. Jon fell in love with it and for the first time in all of the years we have been together he suggested moving a piece of furniture – haha! Seeing how this may never happen again I did not argue and we moved it in here to try out. Well about two seconds after we moved it in here we knew we were going to keep it in here. We already knew how ridiculously comfortable it was (that’s why we were moving it into this room) but we also loved how it opened the space up and made the room feel so much bigger.

We added some darker blue pillows from HomeGoods and swapped the lamp that was in here with this lamp from our guest room. It’s hard to tell in photos but the sofa is really large and the proportions of this lamp work better, I think. We’ve changed a couple of other things since then, including making a large tufted ottoman which I will hopefully have time to take some photos of soon. I still have a few finishing touches to add to it first, though.

  1. Everything you do is just so pretty! The sofa is beautiful and it does make the room look larger and open… though I liked it before too. 🙂 Is the large picture above the sofa new?

  2. what a beautiful soothing room, I also have grey background, but use the colours of turquoise to uplift, but your room is quite stunning with the blues.. I loved seeing this, and will be back again, J

  3. Pretty! But where is the sectional? I thought it looked great in there 🙂

  4. Beautiful! It really does open the room up, but will there be room for all of us to snuggle when we visit? 😉

  5. (Don't see my prior comment, please forgive me if this is a duplicate)… Where is the large art piece from, that is on the back wall between the sofa and table? Love it!!!

  6. So lovely. Can you please tell me the dimensions (roughly) of the kitchen, dining and living space you show?
