Month: August 2016

“Let’s start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with A-B-C
When you sing you begin with do-re-mi
Do-re-mi, do-re-mi

The first three notes just happen to be
Do-re-mi, do-re-mi
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti

Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do..”

Here are a few pictures of Mimi (or should I say Maria…) and the girls in the Sound of Music dresses singing and marching along.

Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your weekend. We just thought we would pop in with some photos of our new cake stand and cloche that our sponsor etúHOME sent us. It is absolutely gorgeous and I love the history behind each piece!

Say hello to George the Peacock, the newest resident of Bluestone Hill! He was painted by Sophie Dentiste, who was so sweet and offered to send this original painting to us. It was perfect for this home, as we relate peacocks to Bluestone Hill, even though it is actually the neighbors who have always kept peacocks.
