Yay! I finally finished the project I have been working on for the girls – a lemonade stand! And with a couple of quick changes it also turns into something else (which I will hopefully show you later this week if I can get some photos tomorrow). For now though, it’s a lemonade stand. On Thursday evening we took it down to Colonial Williamsburg on one of the little side roads and set it up to take pictures. I have to say Jon was such a good sport about it. He normally avoids having to be involved in any blog related activity at all costs – haha! Without his help I would not have been able to get all of these shots. Or probably any of them, for that matter, seeing how I would have been chasing after Lola who seemed to think that throwing the lemons was great fun! So, I owe him a huge thank you! Then on Saturday we set it up again in our neighborhood and used a plastic pitcher and plastic cups so Lillie could actually pour it for everyone, which was definitely her favorite part. I have to say I think they had even more fun, though, on Thursday when I let them toss the lemons around and mix dirt and rocks in the lemonade and stir it with sticks, seeing how it was just for pictures and not actually to give to anyone! Haha! Lillie kept pretending she was on a “cooking show”.
I had a lot of fun making this for the girls and will have a full tutorial for it up soon. It was pretty easy to make, although it did take a little while. It was not quite the best time to take photos based on the sun but both the girls and Jon were in such delightful moods that I can’t complain. I’d rather have the sun be glaring at me than them. =)
What a cute stand and such adorable pictures!
Bye,
Marian
Eeeeee!!!!! It seriously couldn't get any cuter! It's not even possible for someone to see that and NOT stop by 🙂 I've been thinking about making one – this is totally what I want!
amazing pictures, my favorite one has a little rainbow. it's almost like you can feel the warmth of the sunshine.
the signs, the flowers, the pitcher…all so well done. you are so inspiring.

So adorable!! How fun for the girls. The stand would be perfect for puppet shows too!
Jenni this is so beautiful! You did an awesome job and your girls are just adorable!! I would love to know the method you use to paint the signs. I tried the pencil transfer method but am always looking for new things to try!! Have a great week 🙂 Susan
Hey Susan! I just freehanded them with a chalk pen! It worked great!
These pictures just speak summer to me…our summer seems to have been and gone here in London in the space of one week, so am enjoying all of these images of yours, filled with late afternoon slanting sunshine!
It turned out just adorable!!! I made my girls some game booths for a carnival bday we recently had, and we turned them into lemonade stands afterward -albeit much less glamorous lemonade stands 🙂 It's so fun to see them play at this kind of thing. What a great mommy 🙂
I love it! Your girls are adorable and so is that stand. And I love Lola's little dress!
Thanks! My mom made Lola's dress for Lillie back when she was about that age. It's always been one of my favorites!
Precious. They will sell out in a minute if someone doesn't eat the ingredients. LOL! It's really adorable.
A lemonade stand I would love to visit! Perfect!! Adorable first customer! She has excellent taste! Your girls are so beautiful. Lovely pics.
Jenni I think you have created your next big seller for your store. Lemonade Kits! I will be your first customer.
Happy Week! Enjoy!!
super sweet and you just made me thirsty! 🙂
Love Love LOVE these. It reminds me of the one my dad made me when I was about seven. I made some money selling lemonade and popcorn. Haha. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos. Much love.
That is the prettiest lemonade stand! Love the pictures! I'd like a glass of pre-stick lemonade. 😉 My guess is it can also be a puppet theater or play house. 🙂
It turned out awesome!! Your girls are so adorable and the pictures turned out great!
Just adorable…the stand alone will bring in business let alone the adorable salesgirls!
Blessings, Lorraine

Jennifer, this is SO adorable! Can't wait for the tutorial. My little one is only 15 months old so I'll have to file it away for now but can't wait to make something like this for her. I'm also excited to see what else you create with it – I'm guessing puppet theater! Thanks for sharing your creativity!!
That is so cute, and I love those pillows! :>

The font you used is so stylish while still looking casual — great job! And you couldn't have found more adorable models to go with this darling lemonade stand!
Ok, THAT has to be one of the most delightful sets of photos EVER. I love the way the sun makes everything look like a dewey summer morning, and the sunflowers and snap dragons just are over the top gorgeous with it all. The girls are so cute and funny, and that picture with Lola trying to take a bite out of the lemon made me laugh…

Great idea, great shots, great family, great blog, great Momma – just so adorable. And I found it through the puppet show post, another amazing job.
Those girls are lucky to have such a wonderful and talented, clever Mom!
So cute! Do you stencils for your sign and handwriting? or do you just use free hand…? It always looks flawless!
Thanks, Amanda! I freehand everything.
Delightful little girls, lemon stand and puppet show convergence! Thank you for sharing with us . . .
Maybe "lemon throwers" is a basketball player omen! . . . papa would be happy . . . ?
Haha – yes indeed! Both girls have quite an arm!
You are so talented and creative!! These pictures are just beautiful!!
That is SO SO SO cute. I know my kids would have had many uses for something like that…wondering if Kate is too old now???? You did a GREAT job and I think the sun was fabulous for these photos. The sun flare is pure perfection. The girls are so cute. I have no doubt they will spend many hours with this "stand".
