Yesterday was one of those nice, relaxing, wonderfully simple days! Our life has been pretty hectic lately. I am up every night working until anywhere from 2 to 4 am, and this time of year Jon is gone quite a bit and even when he isn’t on the road with games or recruiting there are some LONG days. It has been a particularly exhausting basketball season. Last year was the best year in William and Mary history and I think I bored you all with constant updates of exciting win after exciting win. This year has been the opposite with heartbreaking loss after heartbreaking loss (our last game we were up three and the team we were playing hit a three in the final seconds to send it to overtime and then hit a half court shot at the buzzer in overtime to beat us – that shot actually made it to number two on Sports Centers Top Ten Plays that night – argghhhh! So, needless to say it has been a rather long year). Well, the weekend got off to a great start with the Tribe winning their ESPN Bracketbuster game by 32 on Saturday night. That made for a very happy Jon on Sunday! In fact, after the game was over, Lillie exclaimed that Daddy was “sooooooooooo happy!” Haha! Anyway, after church we decided to just enjoy the day with Lillie instead of worrying about all of the things that needed to get done and it was so much fun. We hadn’t had a day like that in so long. I have always loved that quote on the photo above (from one of my favorite books as a child, Anne of Avonlea), and it seemed to fit yesterday perfectly. Unfortunately, now it is back to the grind! Haha!
During Lillie’s nap yesterday, I FINALLY got my orders placed with all of my different suppliers for our new spring items. I am hoping they will be in this coming this week and then the screenprinting will begin and then hopefully they will be ready to list in our shop either two weeks from today or three weeks from today. I originally had about 50 new styles but panicked knowing that we were going to be closing our shop in mid April for a little while with the new baby coming so I ended up cutting it down to about half. I also cut out all of the new designs except for one because I felt like I rushed through them and when I have done that in the past I have always ended up not liking those designs. So, instead, I am just printing one new design (on several different styles) and then am printing our most popular designs (like the Fairyland and Jane Austen ones) on a whole bunch of new shirts, tanks, sweatshirts and totes. There are two styles in particular that I am really excited about! I spent three days narrowing down my orders and it was a relief to finally have them sent off to our suppliers. Our shop has been pretty low on stock for a while now so it will be nice to fill it back up with some new items! I am also hoping to have some new pillows available ready to list next week but am not sure yet if I will get them done in time.
Once that was done I had time to photograph the invitation we made for my sister Dana’s birthday party. Our sister, Jamie and her husband are coming down later this week for a visit and we would throw a little party for Dana seeing how her birthday is next week. She loves Audrey Hepburn and we thought it would be fun to throw her a Audrey Hepburn/Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed party. We started talking about doing this about a month or so ago, and I had a bunch of ideas in my head for it but so far haven’t had time to work on any of them. So, it’s going to be way more simple than I had planned for but that’s alright. It will still be fun and I will show you pictures of whatever projects we do get finished once they are done.
(This is the envelope part – if you pull on the little black velvet loop the actual invitation slides out)
I hope you all have a fabulous week!
P.S. And as always, I am behind on e-mails so if you have contacted us with a question we will eventually get back to you, I promise!

I love days of nothing but family time. Those are the best! We are supposed to be 80 degrees here today so I am planning a family afternoon after the husband puts up crown molding in my new grey guest room! I am so excited about it! Blurry or tack sharp… Lillie is too cute!!! Did you do the invites yourself? I need to learn how to do those things! Is there nothing you can't do?!? 🙂 Have a wonderful week!

So thrilled to have found your blog through Miss Mustard Seed….even ordered a t-shirt!!
I love the picture of Lillie, and it would make me want to buy a tutu if I still had a little one! I think you are smart to scale back some with the baby on the way, no sense in stressing yourself out by trying to do too much with your shop. And I'm sorry to hear that the Tribe hasn't been doing as well this year as they did last year, but congrats on the recent win!
I love the invitations and the party theme, I love anything Audrey Hepburn! And that's so cool about Miss Mustard Seed, I'll pop over there and take a look, congratulations!
Kat 🙂
Funny we both "discovered" each other this week. We needed inspiration from each other I guess. I've only been blogging for 3 weeks. Happy you loved my coffee filter shade, and YES do it in your nursery! It has such a soft warm glow. I've been keeping mine on all day long. I'm like a moth to the flame with it. It's addictingly beautiful! I just LOVE your photography. I checked out your photo website. What photoshop program do you like? xox Sarah@ NorhwestHospitality
So much to comment on! The invitation is nothing short of gorgeous. Wow. So glad you had a nice quiet day. So important. And congrats on the Miss Mustard Seed spotlight! Can't wait to go check it out.
Love the invite! Can't wait to see Lillie in two days!!!

I absolutely love the invites!! I've actually always wanted to do a party with that theme! Maybe for one of Ginger's birthdays:)
I'm sorry you haven't been able to rest much lately. I know how hard it is having a toddler and being pregnant AND trying to work. Ugh! it's a lot!
Thanks for introducing me to Mustard Seed blog. Lovely!
I figured out how to download the actions to my photoshop but for the life of me can't get them to apply to the photo I open?????
Great pic of Lillie. And please tell me you have something slightly less feminine planned for my graduation invitations…
Beautiful invitation, LOVE it!!! Congrats on being a finalist on MMS, I saw it last night when I was checking her out; you totally deserve it! 🙂

As usual….my hectic, busy, frustration-filled day was magically transformed when I read your blog today!
Thank you!
Love the invitations…and the precious pics of sweet Lillie of course!
Omgoodness! Seeing that invite brought my back to this time 3-4 {sad that I can't remember} years ago when I was planning for my sisters bridal shower!!:) I LOVE that pic of Lillie! Even though you can't see the tutu very well, it's still a good pic:)
Congratulations on being a finalist on Miss Mustard Seed! Your invitations are gorgeous! So so pretty with the robin's egg blue print and ribbon. I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan as well. You are a woman of many talents! Happy Birthday to your sister.
Thanks everyone!
JemsMom – Thanks, and yes, I did make them myself.
Sarah – I use Photoshop CS5. I am completely an amateur but love taking pictures for our shop and thanks to Photoshop can give a big boost to my so-so photos! Haha! I use a lot of actions as well. Free ones from Pioneer Woman and The Coffee Shop and I have also splurged on some from Florabella that are amazing!
Hanna – just sent you a quick e-mail about the getting the actions to work in Photoshop.
Jas – was thinking all pink with ruffles!
Love the photo of the little one in the suit case, too cute.
How wonderful! The invite is amazing…just love the color. Of course maybe that's because I adore Tiffany's. What girl doesn't?! Lillie is adorable, as always! Doesn't even look blurry to me!
Your daughter is absolutely beautiful!
Those invites are perfect! I love Audrey!
