This living room has been a long time coming, to say the least. I started painting in here shortly before Evie stopped napping late last summer–at which point, progress came to a screeching halt. After months and months of painting a little bit here, a little bit there, and several intervals of giving up, I have finally painted over all the green trim, beams, and built-ins. Actually, I still have a few shelves left on the other side of the room…but here is the progress:
I love the new Aidan Gray bench that recently arrived from our sponsor Hedge Apple – a site filled with stylish furniture, decor, and design ideas. It is so beautiful and also functional for our space. We played with the layout and moved the couches and a couple armchairs a few times and landed on this arrangement, with the couches facing each other and the bench in between, able to serve as either an ottoman or a coffee table with a tray.
All of the photos on the mantel are passed down from family, as is the family tree in the center:
The couches were a wedding gift from my in-laws from a local furniture store when we were first married, and somehow they have actually remained white, nearly 8 years and 2 kids later.
The trim is all painted Benjamin Moore White Dove and the beams and fireplace surround are painted Nightfall.
I can’t wait to complete the other half of this space and check this room off my list! It seemed like the project that would never end for a while, but now the finish line is in sight!

This room is beautiful and serene! It is my favorite room at Blue Stone Hill!
LOVE your living room! I would love to know what the material is on those couches! Do you happen to know what it is? I look forward to seeing the rest when you finish!
Thanks, Sonia! I'm not sure exactly what the fabric is. It's not regular duck canvas but something softer.

I would love to know who made the couches!
Hi! Jamie and Josh got them from a local furniture store 8 years ago and unfortunately don't have any of the manufacturer's info.

Such a gorgeous room! Would love to know the fabric for the tan circle block print pillows you made (or if you plan to take orders!) Happy Sunday! 🙂
Thanks, Carrie! Jamie doesn't know the type of fabric but the brand is Kauffman.

Hello! I am wondering if you will be doing the basketball bracket this year 🙂
Hi! We hope to have it ready later tonight or tomorrow morning!

Love this room! Is this in your new home? The bluestone hill confused me! It is stunning!!!
Thanks, Tara! Sorry for the confusion–Any post with Bluestone Hill in the title features our sister Jamie and her husband Josh's home!
