I’ve been slowly working on our living room. Based on the layout of the room I  knew I  wanted to add a fireplace to the back wall and ideally wanted to have two matching sofas facing each other. When we first moved in though we used the sofas we already had and played around with the layout a little bit and figured slowly over time we’d add in pieces. A few weeks ago I  built a fireplace (you can read more about that here in this post) and then last week we got two gorgeous new boucle sofas from our partner, Chita Living. Here is a look at the room when we moved in:

Now that we’ve the new fireplace and new sofas the next thing is I’ve got my eye out for a larger coffee table – ideally a wood one to bring some warmth in and then I’d like to move the two swivel chairs up to our loft – they’ll  be perfect for our reading area up there  and then I’d like to either find some green or maybe mushroom colored chairs to go down here that way there’s not so much white. I’m also on the lookout for a light fixtures. And then eventually I’d like to add a whole lot of trim to the room. So, although it still has quite a ways to go it is starting to come along.

I  really loved the curved back of these boucle sofas!
