Say hello to George the Peacock, the newest resident of Bluestone Hill! He was painted by Sophie Dentiste, who was so sweet and offered to send this original painting to us. It was perfect for this home, as we relate peacocks to Bluestone Hill, even though it is actually the neighbors who have always kept peacocks.

This back hall connects the two bedrooms downstairs, or what used to be the master bedroom and library. Our uncle was a great reader, and had a fabulous book collection that filled the walls of built-ins in the library…and all the other bookshelves in the house. As much as we loved the library, for our family, it really needed to be a bedroom.
Here are some more pictures of our bedroom at Bluestone Hill. We painted the walls Benjamin Moore Hale Navy, which I had already used on the island in the kitchen and loved, and the trim White Dove, which we have used on all trim so far throughout the house, with the exception of our daughter’s bedroom.
Hello! This is Jamie, Jenni’s sister, and I’m back to work at Dear Lillie after an extended maternity leave…or so I’m calling it. Several years ago, I used to break my back from 11-Noon Monday through Friday shipping packages and such, but I’ve spent the last few years having two sweet little girls who keep me pretty busy.
A couple of weeks ago we shared the new Deann Art canvas that we added to our dining room and today we are excited to share a new piece of hers that we added to Jamie and Josh’s entryway. We absolutely LOVE her work.
We are so excited to be joining nine other bloggers as part of the “10 days 10 patios” tour sponsored by Joss & Main and featured on Country Living’s website!
We have shared our porch and patio area several times before so we thought it would be fun to work on a new space – our sister Jamie’s new house!
