I hope you all had a lovely week! I wanted to share some images I took of our guest bedroom last weekend. We found a chair for the desk online at Joss and Main. I loved the gray color and the tufting as well as the size.

Well, a lot of people are probably going to cringe but we went ahead and decided to paint the study. I’ve spent two years going back and forth and I kept changing my mind. For a while I was convinced I liked it better how it was but then once we finished painting the rest of the house I started pondering painting it more and more.
The warmer weather is finally here and we’ve been able to eat outside again! I love being able to eat on the porch whether it’s just us as a family or when we have a whole group of people over. In the winter when we have large groups over for dinner we tend to keep all of the waters and sodas and stuff to drink in our kitchen set out on the peninsula but that can make things pretty crowded.
When we posted some pictures earlier this week of the flowers on the table we got quite a few questions about our new chairs. I am so excited about them. I have eyed this style chair for a while now but the ones I had seen were always kind of lightweight and the backs were often pretty low and I knew neither of those elements would be ideal for us seeing how we regularly have people over and a lot of our guests are quite tall.
I’ve been looking for some artwork for above the bed in this room for a while and I have to say this horse picture was not at all what I was planning on or what I was looking for but every time we went into HomeGoods this winter Lola would want to go to the back and check and see if it was still there.
Now that we finally got around to recovering the headboard it was time to try getting this room finished up. We got the rug moved back up here and then moved the desk over onto this wall to make room for the white sofa that was down in the den.
