Well, I got our master bathroom mini makeover finished up and photographed but I still haven’t finished going through the photos yet or writing up the post so hopefully I will have that post ready for Friday.  Seeing how it’s not ready I figured I would share a mix of some photos I’ve taken over the last week or two that don’t really belong in their own post but I figured I could kind of put them all together here this morning.

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend. When we first started making over this room I knew I wanted to wallpaper the upper half of the walls but I couldn’t find anything that was quite right so I just quickly painted the walls a light color so at least they has something.

Happy Saturday! Well, this week we painted our dining room Kendall Charcoal, by Benjamin Moore. It’s always been one of my favorite colors (we painted our master bedroom in our last house this color and the office in Jason’s house as well as a few furniture pieces) and I am happy to have a room this color now in our new house!

January is always a bit of a strange month when it comes to decorating. Once all of the Christmas decor is put away it always feels a little bit barren but it’s a little too soon to add any spring or summer touches. I left our cozy knit and fur pillows and throws as well as our pom pom wreath for now seeing how they are nice additions in this winter weather, and then we added in some more cheerful touches to our mantel using some fresh seeded eucalyptus bouquets and some tulips from Trader Joe’s to help make it feel a little less gloomy even though it’s still quite cold and dreary outside.

Well, except for getting rid of the light in the center of the kitchen and adding some recessed lights I think we are finally done with our kitchen makeover! The finishing touches were the beautiful pendants from Birch Lane and the bar stools. When we first moved in I knew I wanted some pendants like this but because I had a free pair that had been passed down to me from my mom I went ahead and used those at first and they worked perfectly.
