Although we still have quite a ways to go in our bedroom, one wall is finally starting to take shape. I will have a full post on that wall coming this week with details about the dresser and the wonderful company it is from!

Although this room still isn’t completely finished (we still need a rug and more artwork on the walls and above the bed) we have made quite a bit of progress in here over the last few weeks. One of the things we were most excited about when we found this house last summer was that it had four bedrooms.
Back at the end of last year Ballard Designs contacted us about sending us some of their new bedding to design a room around and being featured on their blog. I cannot tell you how thrilled and honored I was. I am so in love with the bedding that I just placed an order for my bedding for our master bedroom.
Because I am not quite ready to take photos yet in the rooms I am working on upstairs, last week I went ahead and took photos of how the rooms looks downstairs now that the Christmas decor is all put away. It always seems a bit sparce at first but it also feels nice to have a clean slate.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Here are a couple of photos of what our family room looks like now with all the Christmas decor down. I am planning to add in some pillows and a few accessories with a little pop of color in the next few weeks but for now I don’t mind that it’s a little bare looking.
We’ve been busy working away on two bedrooms upstairs but neither of them are ready to photograph yet. Our guest room is completely painted and the furniture all in place I am just waiting on the new light fixture to arrive (it’s supposed to be here today – yay!) and I need to add a few more accessories.
