I finally got to take some photos of little baby Everly’s beautiful nursery during our last visit to New Hampshire. I can’t take any credit for any of the decorating in here. Jamie and Josh did everything themselves. I think they did a fabulous job and it is such a fun but still soothing space for baby Everly to grow up in! By using many items they already had or borrowed they were able to keep their cost quite low on this beautiful nursery. The dresser (functioning as a changing table), chair, side table, floor lamp and bookshelf were all items they already owned and they are borrowing the crib from us.

Jamie painted a lamp base from Target in Ballet White to help go with the room better and then added a purple stripe to a basic white shade. She recovered the little storage cube herself.

This Little Bo Peep Pillow Cover is now available in our shop!

Jamie made the cover for her changing pad as well as painting the storage piece hanging on the wall and adding liners to the little baskets so she could fill them with things like diapers, wipes, lotion, etc.
She also made the Roman Shades herself:

Jamie made the crib skirt as well and the blanket was hand-knit by her mother-in-law.

Don’t worry about the baby sleeping under the clock! She isn’t actually sleeping in her crib yet but when she does she will be sleeping under this lightweight canvas Jamie had made from one of her maternity photos so she won’t have to worry about the clock coming down!

Over in this corner they painted a little chalkboard with purple chalkboard paint and until Everly is old enough to use it they have one of our nursery rhyme banners hanging over it. They also painted a floor lamp in the same purple color and added a little table and chairs they found at a consignment shop!

The “Mary Had a Little Lamb…” chalkboard is from Jamie’s baby shower and we
are now selling the 24 by 36 download in our shop. (The prints are not
ready yet but will be soon).

And here are some detailed shots:

Jamie printed out some extra pages from the banner and framed them for added interest on the bookshelf.

  1. Om, what a zen room! It is so soothing and restful. I love everything about it! The canvas of Jamie is so beautiful and touching.

  2. The room is just darling. She did a great job decorating. I did not read where the clock came from, I really like the size and shape.

  3. This is absolutely beautiful! What a charming room for a little girl to grow up in. The nook is adorable! Could you please tell me where you found such a beautiful crib. It almost looks like something from Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Collection. Thank you. Clarissa

  4. What a stunning nursery. So pretty. The photographs are beautiful.
Thank you for including my little elephant.

  5. Just beautiful! We're re-decorating our daughter's bedroom and there are definitely some ideas I'll be "borrowing" from Baby Everly's sweet room. 😉

  6. What a gorgeous nursery, I love the little pops of lavender here and there. Jamie and Josh did a fantastic job!

  7. Great grandma here, so of course my first thought was "Oh, no, not a clock over the crib!" But, don't worry, I knew any mom, new or otherwise, would be on it!

  8. Hi Jennifer!
Do you have a roman shade tutorial or suggest a good one out there? Jamie's roman shades turned out great! I'd like to make some for my windows. Everly's nursery is amazing. So soothing, fresh and beautiful.

    Thanks!

    1. Thanks! I took that photo of her this winter and then she asked me to add that verse to it for her and once I did that she ordered it from a canvas company online.

  9. Precious… and beautiful details too. You all are such talented decorators, you make everything so pretty. It's Dear Lillie style!

  10. I am swooning over the crib! I have to ask where it's from?! (Please don't say vintage — my heart will break! 🙂 )

    1. Thanks – I love it too! It was a gift from my in-law's for my first daughter and was passed down to my second daughter and now passed on down to my niece, Everly! It came from a store in South Carolina called Katie Mac. I know that Restoration Hardware carries a very similar one. Or at least they did.

    1. Hi Molly,
Jenni asked me to answer this comment a while ago- sorry it has taken me so long! They are Hemnes, and I did paint them. It's been a while so I forget, but you are probably right, since I paint pretty much everything ballet white! 🙂

  11. Can you tell me where the hanging baskets over the changing table are from?

    Thanks!

  12. My daughter in law and my son are expecting soon and they just ordered a bed that looks so much like this one and I sent your blog to her knowing that she will love getting some lovely ideas! Thank you for posting and sharing.

  13. I absolutely love your canvas of "for the child I have prayed" where did you get your canvas through. We just had maternity pictures done and I really want a canvas print like yours 🙂
