Happy New Year! Just wanted to pop in real quickly and let you all know that I haven’t completely forgotten about blogging. Thanks to both Lola and I being sick and getting no sleep, along with lots of traveling and of course the holidays I am a bit behind on things. We are getting ready for Jamie’s baby shower this weekend and then after that I will hopefully be getting back into the swing of things. I am looking forward to sharing with you pictures from her shower and some new projects soon and I’ve got lots of projects planned for later this month. And I’ve got tons of photos to edit including some like the one above from a little shoot with Jamie and Josh we did in the FREEZING COLD a few days ago. I haven’t even looked through them all yet, though, never mind started editing so it may be a little while before I get caught up. I hope you all are having a lovely 2013 so far!

That is an absolutely precious picture. Ah, they look so young. Guess I am getting old, because I was a very young mom too, so that's how it works.
As for your feeling guilty about blog posting, BAH – it should come when it comes and not make a person feel anything but joy. Don't stress or fret, your loyal readers will always be waiting for you – and as for stress, it's a killer and gets people sick, so promise yourself this year you won't fret, certainly not about blog posting!

Thanks. I use chalk pens and yes, I use my own handwriting.

Thank you! No, I haven't. We actually just did a cake and not a "real" party this year. I did take pictures of her cake though. December is such a crazy month that we decided to hold off and throw her a little party sometime in January or February when it won't be as crazy.

Beautiful parents to be, beautiful composition! How did you get the picture so sharp? Did you use a tripod? Love the golden sun in the background – what time of day did you take these pictures?
Thanks. No, I didn't use a tripod. I had one and used it once or twice about a year or two ago and haven't used it since. =) I think I took these around 4 o'clock or so.
