Good morning! I have always enjoyed wrapping gifts. Even back when I was young I always looked forward to wrapping gifts and adding a special little ribbon or  even a small little gift or making a little craft to put on top of the gift. For the last several years I have prefer to wrap gifts as I purchase them and then use them throughout the house as decor. It’s a fun way to add some festive touches to the house and keeps me from having to store everything in my closet. For some gifts I choose the wrapping paper very specifically for who I am giving the gift to and sometimes I just use what I have on hand. But I also enjoy picking some papers each year that match my decor so that they look nice sitting around the house – haha!

I chose this white paper with the black script and then this black paper knowing it would look pretty in our room. I had initially planned on putting gifts I wrapped in both of these papers under the tree in our room but then decided to mix things up in this little nook because it’s pretty much looked the same since we moved in. So I moved the little stool out to our living room to use as a little footstool and then put this vintage sled into the nook and added some gifts, a little faux tree, and my old ice skates to it to give this space a slightly different feel for the holidays.

I wrapped some more gifts with this pretty light blue paper that has a soft winter scene of people walking on it. I’ve had the velvet ribbon for years.

Here are some a few more photos of the nook in our bedroom:

I also played around with some darker ribbon and paperwhites instead of the skates but ended up going with the skates.

And here are a few more close-ups of the these ones:

I also really like this dark navy paper with tiny metallic stars. The velvet ribbon I’ve had for years and the thin gold ribbon I’ve ordered for three straight years now – I love how dainty it is and the little shimmer it adds to the gifts.

I love these little gift tags. They come in a pack and are all so cute!

And this holiday scene paper is one of my favorite wrapping papers I found this year! Isn’t it adorable? I wrapped two of my nieces gifts in this paper and topped it with these fun little doggy sanitizer holders.  (I got mine in the store where they were much cheaper than online!)

And I shared some of these in the post with Lillie’s room but I also wrapped some of my other nieces’s gifts in this sweet little nutcracker paper and topped them with this ribbon, this ribbon and these sweet little ornaments!

And Lillie’s birthday gifts in this paper that matched her room so well!

And here’s one last little look at our little bedroom nook with the lights on:
