New House Guest Room (Progress) - Dear Lillie Studio

Good morning! Today I wanted to share a little progress we’ve made in our guest room. This room is definitely not finished. I will probably paint it in the next few weeks and then down the road after I’ve tackled some of the bigger projects in our main spaces will then come back in here to most likely add some kind of wall treatment and wallpaper. For now thought it is all set up and functioning so we can host guests again! Because we aren’t using any blue in the main living spaces in this new house I decided to put some of my favorite blue items here in this room so we could still use them. Once I decide on a wallpaper though I may move the blue upstairs to our bonus room and hallway up there. But for now I’ve got two of my favorite pieces of artwork (neither of which can be seen in these photos) hanging in here and then my Serena and Lily navy pillows and some other blue items in here for now.

The items that will definitely be staying in this room are the bed which I ordered specifically for this space, the light fixture (which we had in our last house and I love!) and the chest with the rings which has been through many moves with us and is one of my favorite pieces. I may repaint it though (will leave the gold, but may paint the blue a different color) depending on what I decide on for wallpaper. I also have a desk in here on a wall that is not in any of the pictures and am using this as sort of a home office as well.
