Because of the new gray tufted chairs our gray tufted ottoman just did go anymore in this room – a bit too much tufting for one little space. I sent it back up to NH with Jason and will show you how it looks in it’s new home at some point this summer! Or maybe even in late April. I moved our coffee table from the family room in here for about two weeks, but didn’t love it. It was a little too rustic looking and I like it so much better in the family room. I few days after I took these pictures I ended up doing a bunch of rearranging in here, and I finally painted and waxed the legs on the chairs and will show you that soon. This is how it looked in here, though, for most of March. =)
If you look on the right side of this picture you can see a tiny bit of our newest chalkboard that we will be introducing next week. It took forever, but I think it’s my favorite one. I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon!
You have such a beautiful home, and I love all of your spring decor,it's just my taste.
everything so sooo pretty!
What a beauty!!! The nest in the cage and the wreth are just georgeous!!!! Everything decorated with such a good taste!!
So pretty!! I just love your house. Are the white flowers in the pictures real or silk? What kind of flower is it? Can't wait to see the painted chair legs and what you decided to do about the coffee table situation.

They are real – I got them at Trader Joe's. I'm pretty sure they are ranunculus. I have loved them for years and whenever I see them I like to snatch them up! =)
I love your blog so much…when I see that you have posted, it is the first email I open! I ordered your Irish print and love it…it is still hanging. It was wrapped so beautifully, too. The new one we can spy in this post will be a definite purchase, too. This time I must bite the bullet and finally try downloading and have the large size printed. (Unless you just want to send it to me, frame and all! 🙂 ). Cynthia R
Hi Jennifer,
Your home looks so pretty and I like all the sweet and subtle spring touches scattered about.

I've been reading your blog for a long time and decided to finally comment. Your room is beautiful and calming. Great inspiration. Happy Easter.
Can you tell me if the toiaries on the mantle are ivy? Real or faux? I also love your chandy! And the birdcage on the coffee table. XO, pinky
Hi Pinky – they are real, but they are not ivy. They are jasmine and I purchased the plants at Trader Joe's almost two months ago. They have held up really well and I love them!
How big is the jasmine vine pots they are planted in when you bought them? Also what is your secret, are they still in the original pots in the urns covered up with moss or what??? You make it look so good and easy!!! Also how do you water them?
Thanks so much!!
Sarah
They were pretty small. And yes, I kept them in their original pots and just tucked them into the urn and added some moss around it to hide the original pot. I just water them with a cup. It's nice and easy!
Your home is so lovely! Those grey chairs look so comfy – can't wait to see how they look with the legs painted 🙂
Every inch of your house is gorgeous .. YOU have done a beautiful job. LOVE IT ……………… Happy Easter to your family and hope your all very blessed …………. HUGS, Sherry @ The Rusty Pearl
It's so beautiful! I LOVE your new chairs and the mirror above the fireplace! Some day, I hope to go to France and find an architectural piece to do the very same thing with!
I am curious about the cream coloured eggs in the 3rd photograph. They look as though they are on an egg tree. Where do you think that I may purchase some? I do love your beautiful, inspiring blog. sincerely, Patricia at patricia@savage.ca
Thanks! I painted those a couple of years ago. You can read about them here: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/7-easter-egg-makover-project-and-our.html
LOVE! Excited to see your next chalkboard. I love them. If you are ever taking requests, I am looking for a chalkboard print with the words from "Turn your eyes upon Jesus"
Yes – I am always looking for ideas! I have a pretty lengthy list but I love adding to it and don't do them in any particular order – it kind of depends what I am feeling inspired by at the moment. I will definitely add that to my list. We plan on having at least two new chalkboard prints each month (and hopefully three or four each month if possible!)
The beauty of Spring is definitely showcased in your home from the mantel to the vignettes..love the bird cage!
And I am so looking forward to your new chalkboard masterpiece!!
Your home is so beautiful, as always! And your decorated birdcage is precious! Love, Aunt Jan
I love your home! You have inspired me to get bold and paint my bedroom. Yes, Kendall charcoal it is and I am loving the change!
Tomorrow I am going out to my shed and bringing in my bird cage:)
Thanks!

I love every aspect of your home! I really need to get some of those white Ikea planters. I've seen them all over blogland and I really like them. 🙂
Your decor is just so lovely and inspiring. Come to my home, won't you?? 🙂
So many sweet touches… birdcages are always welcomed, the potted urns on the mantle, and the large band of blue on the lampshade! All caught my eye!! What fun to always want to change things up a bit. I call it shopping in my own home! Thanks for sharing!
Just beautiful! Really love your style as it is so serene and peaceful! You are very talented! Ana
Is the the bottom half of the coffee table that you painted revere pewter, is it a flat or eggshell??
I wanted a very matte look so I went with flat on this piece.
beautiful decorations. where did you find the cage in the first picture?

Thank you! It was a while ago so I'm not 100% positive, but I believe I purchased it at White Home Collections in Wilton, NH.
