First, let me just say we are definitely not finished with Lillie’s new room but we’ve made enough progress in here that we figured we at least share what we’ve done so far. The first thing we did was switch the beds from the two guest rooms. Honestly for about 2-3 weeks I kept trying to coming up with a plan that made it so we could keep the guest beds in the rooms that they were already in because I was dreading taking the two beds apart (well, technically the white tufted one is quite easy, but this canopy one is a nightmare!) but deep down I knew that I would always kick myself that I didn’t take the time to switch them.

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend! I just wanted to share a few images of Lillie’s new room that we’ve been working on the last couple of weeks. It’s still not finished but I will be doing a more detailed post tomorrow or Monday with lots more images and info and a detailed source list.

This past summer we were contacted by 1st-Art-Gallery.com to see if we were interested in receiving and reviewing a custom oil painting of our choice. I have always wanted a custom oil painting and was quite excited about the idea, but initially I was unsure of what to do as I couldn’t think of a spot where I’d want a large portrait type piece.

A couple of months ago we shared with you some pictures of our sweet little friend Stratten’s room and mentioned we were still waiting on the chair to arrive. Well, here it is. It is the Penelope Glider from Oilo Studio. The white color looks so pretty against the Palladian Blue walls and the fact that is is leather makes it super easy to keep clean which is especially handy in a toddler’s room!

O holy night!

The stars are brightly shining

It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining

Till He appear’d and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
