We are excited to be offering placemats again! The first ones we have available are done in our give thanks script. And yes, we had to switch out our farmhouse table with our other one because even though I liked the warmth of the farmhouse one in here so much better it was too long for the space and we were afraid one of the girls was really going to hurt themselves on the corner of it when they came running in from the porch.
Well, I didn’t get nearly as much done this week as I planned on. Shortly after the girls and I got back from New Hampshire Jon left to go to the Dominican Republic with the basketball team for eight days. Although I was able to make a good bit of progress on finishing up details in some of the rooms downstairs and in Lillie and Lola’s room that was about it and I figured as soon as he got back we would get a ton done.
This room will be far the most boring transformation of all the decorated rooms I show you in our new house because we changed by far the least in here. Well, at least for now. Eventually we may be making some bigger changes in here but we haven’t decided yet. And it’s probably the least my style, but it is a cozy little room!
Although we are slowly making our way through the house painting all of the trim (London Fog in the kitchen/family room and Simply White throughout the rest of the house) we haven’t decided for sure yet what we are going to do in this room.
Tonight I thought I would show you a little peek into our kitchen. We are close to being done with it so I will hopefully be showing you the whole kitchen soon, but for now I want to at least show you one wall that we have finished (and in the last photo you can see a little more of the kitchen).
We are getting closer and closer to being finished with Phase One of the Kitchen/Family Room makeover! Pretty much all of the big projects are done now so I just have a few minor things left like installing two more light fixtures, sewing my roman shade for the window over the sink, finishing painting the rolling island cart and possibly recovering our ottoman (I am definitely planning on recovering it but if I haven’t found the right fabric by the time I finish up those other things I will just photograph the room with the ottoman as is.) I can’t wait to show you all.
*A few outtakes from our first unsuccessful attempt of a shot with Lillie, Lola and Everly
I didn’t mean to go so many days without blogging. The good news is the reason I haven’t blogged is because I have barely touched my computer in days because I’ve been so busy painting and hanging light fixtures and working like crazy on our new house.
