Good morning! We are so excited to be joining our favorite group of bloggers for the first installment of the Seasons of Home this year! First up we are all sharing our autumn kitchens. As usual, it’s still in the 90’s here and there are no pumpkins to be found yet so I am doing more of an early autumn feel in my kitchen. Last year I used a bunch of apples and this year I am going with darker plums and raspberries. I also cut a bunch of branches from the yard that I love using in the fall – they have such a nice mix of green and maroon on their leaves. Add in a few fresh pastries and that’s about it for now! A nice subtle yet cozy feeling for these September days.
My girls are husband all LOVE cheesecake so we topped a basic plain cheesecake with some blackberries (which my husband loves with his cheesecake) and then some plums just for a little more interest. I ate those, but not with my cheesecake. We also love having pastries in the fall like these apple ones!
Touches of copper, gold and wood all add warmth to a space, especially a kitchen which can sometimes have a cold feel to it.
