Well, here is our September porch. You can also see we moved our dining room table out here now that we
have the new farmhouse table in our dining room. It’s a bit tight but
it’s so much easier eating out here on this table than it was on the one
that was out there before and we really do enjoy eating as many meals
as we can out on the porch – especially this time of year!
Because the armoire is blue now, I didn’t want to use the orange that I have incorporated in the past out here. I liked how it looked last year when the armoire was ivory but it just didn’t look right this year so I stuck with a lighter color scheme for now, especially seeing how it’s still quite warm here. In another month or so when the weather starts to get chillier I will add in some more tans and chocolate colors, I think, to warm it up a bit. I also have a few fun things I’d like to do out here for Thanksgiving. I just finished drawing some pilgrim silhouettes that I plan on using both inside and out here and that we plan on selling in our shop as well. For now, though, here’s what it looks like:
and so it was a WRINKLED MESS. I wish I had waited a few days to take
the pictures. Within a day or two it has smoothed itself back out.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! And if you missed yesterday’s post we announced all FIVE winners of our big giveaway. Just scroll down to the post below.

i've got to finish up my porch decorating sometime this week. you always give me so much inspiration!
Thanks Judy! They are from a store called Savvy. I purchased them four years ago so not sure if they still carry them or not.
Your porch looks so gorgeous! I love the hydrabgeas in the crusty urn. It looks so pretty!
Oh Jennifer that is absolutely gorgeous!!! I would spend tons of time out there too for sure!!
Your porch feels like an old friend. Welcoming you with a warm hug. Absolutely beautiful!! I adore the silhouette. Looking forward to shopping for new fall items. You inspire me. Happy Fall Ya'll!
Your blog is now a new favorite. I found it last week and I now pull a pen and notebook out every time I'm on your blog. Your house makes me think of a small piece of heaven.
beautiful as always Jennifer!! This time every year I miss Pennsylvania. We lived in Chester Springs and it was so magical during the Fall *sigh*
Now all we get is mild-cool fronts and rain. 🙁
Your porch always looks great. Love the blue armoire with the creamy colors throughout the porch.
So cozy…Wish I had a screened in porch. Love all the details!
Gorgeous! You always have such beautiful photos – and what a beautiful space to share!
It is GORGEOUS!!! ANd can I say that I love the wrinkles…..it makes it look REAL! I suspect that we are alike in our perfectionism but life has wrinkles and I am happy to see yours. Hope you have a great week. Been thinking of your cousin lately as his Mass is coming up.
hugs,
Kim
so, so pretty!
So pretty, as always! Can you tell me the paint color for the blue armoire?
Thanks! It's Boothbay Gray. You can read more about it here: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2012/06/color-on-porch-part-ii-blue-armoire.html
I love how light and bright it looks and how you used the white pumpkins. My favorite is Lillie's silhouette with her Indian feathers and braids!
Beautiful! Looks so simple and elegant. Now I need to find some white pumpkins!
Love the large photos and the little Indian silhouette :-). And thanks for your sweet comment regarding our little "tutu pumpkin". I'm looking forward to what you will be coming up with – always a pleasure – maks 🙂
It's so cozy and beautiful out there! Love the way the table looks and your fall touches you've added!
Congratulations, Jennifer on your 10 page spread in BHG Christmas Ideas! Your home looks lovely and I know you must be so proud!!
Your porch looks GREAT!!
gorgeous i love your style your decor for each season/holiday always looks so gorgeous xxx
Are your pumpkins real white ones or do you paint them or are they fake?? I have to know!! I painted some with chalk paint and they look fantastic~and the price is right. I like fall decorating the least too, but think your porch looks grand!
I have quite a mix of them in my house. The ones on the dining room table are fake. I have a few other fake ones that came white too and then I have three or four fake ones that I got on clearance and painted white a couple of years ago and then each year I generally paint some real ones too if I can't find the right sizes at the farmer's market. I've only painted one real one so far this year but Lillie and I bought four more at Trader Joe's yesterday to paint later this week! =) I'm sure she'll be painting hers pink.
Everything looks beautiful! I'm currently obsessed with white pumpkins, so this is great. Ps. love the picture of your daughter on the swing!
Can you share where you purchased your white pumpkins that are on your dining room table?
They are from a store called Savvy. I purchased them four years ago so not sure if they still carry them or not.
Positively gorgeous. What a great eye you have! Love your photography too!
Beautiful! I love the whites & browns together…
It all looks just beautiful! Very elegant. Fall is my favorite season, too, although I am not the best at decorating for Fall. I did paint a pumpkin white over the weekend and then decided to add some soft taupe polka dots. I tied a big ivory satin bow around the stem and set it on our front porch.
Just gorgeous! Everything is so stunning. I love the neutral tones together.

Stunning! I don't have a porch, but we do have a little gazebo. I think I'm going to try some of your ideas out there for the Fall. I have a chandelier and little settee and coffee table, but it all needs a little love. Thanks for the inspiration!
GORGEOUS..
So pretty! I would like to get my screened porch dressed for fall like yours. Enjoyed your article in BH&G Christmas magazine!

It's perfect! I love the table out there… makes it a very functional eating space too. Porches are the best. Your display is phenomenal as usual, i'm dyin over the white pumpkins like everyone else. So pretty with white hydrangeas in the mix, and all the colors look great together!
Cindy
I think God made white pumpkins just for your house – seriously!
Do you have that pocahontas silhouette or the thanks pillow cover for sale? I didn't see them in your shop and I love them!
Hello Mandie! We don't plan on selling the Pocahontas silhouette but will be selling some very similar pilgrim ones in October. We have several give thanks pillows for sale in our shop – in both white and black in and in two sizes. They sell out pretty quickly but we are working hard to restock them as they sell out.

Have a lovely rest of the week!
Your porch always has such a sense of a wonderful bucolic scene…so serene and gracious…Beautiful table and love the beautiful pillows on the porch!
Hi Jennifer, Your porch is so inviting and cozy! I just bought a daybed for my similar porch. I was wondering what kind of mattress I should get. Is yours an outdoor mattress or just a regular one? Any help or tips you can give would be great. Thank you for iviting us all into your home… 🙂
Thanks! We actually purchased our mattresses used for $25. They are just regular ones but seeing how they were so inexpensive we figured it wouldn't matter if they eventually got ruined. So far, though, we have not had any issues with them!
Hi Jennifer, I just found your porch via Pinterest! I'm fixing to redo my screen porch and I just love yours! I'm a new follower and am off to tour your blog!!!
I found your photo through pinterest! I love the simplicity and elegant. Thanks for the inspiration!
Jennifer,
Your home is beautiful. I read your blog frequently, but missed this post until now. I would love to know the source of your porch chandelier if you would be willing to share. I am redoing my dining room and think it would be perfect. Many thanks.
Thank you! It was actually in the dining room of our last house when we moved in. I took it down and saved it knowing it would come in handy at some point in the future and sure enough it worked perfectly on our porch here – unfortunately, though, I have no idea where it was originally from. =( So sorry about that.
