Good morning! I hope you all had a lovely holiday break. I am about ready to start on several projects in our house starting with a mini budget-friendly makeover on Lola’s bathroom, as well as our primary bathroom. Then I’ve got plans for our loft area (I think that’s the project I am most excited about!), as well as our kitchen, Lillie’s bathroom and then our basement. And then I’ve got some smaller projects like wallpapering the entryway and dining room. I’m planning on starting with Lola’s bathroom and then our bathroom but I am still stuck on a few decisions in both of them so while I get those figured out figured I would share some mood boards starting with these Splurge Vs. Save Light Fixtures.
If you have been following along for a while you know that one of the first things I do in each of our homes is swap out the light fixtures. Light fixtures are one of my favorite ways to really make a statement in a room and change the overall feel of it. In some of our houses we have had some “splurge” ones, but we’ve also used lots and lots of the “save” options over the years too! So here are three different mood boards with some “splurge” and some “save” choices. For some I was able to find options that look extremely similar, whereas others they more of just have the same overall feel to them. For some the “save” options are a fraction of the cost whereas others it’s just a more affordable option but maybe not as big a price difference as some of the other ones.
So here are our Splurge vs. Save Light Fixtures mood boards (you can find the numbered links above each of the collages):
One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six / Seven / Eight
Here’s the second option:
One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six
Here’s the third option:
One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six
And if you’d like you see some of our other lighting mood boards you can find some here in this post, and here in this post. And if you’d like to see a whole bunch of full room mood boards with splurge vs. save options you can click here!
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
Warmly, Jenni
