$100 Amazon Gift Card

One of the things that has been driving me crazy in our entryway is the very dated thermostat that sticks out in the middle of the wall and is yellowed with age and kind of confusing to figure out. There is a newer model upstairs but the one you see right when you walk through the front door is most likely older than me. We have been working on updating our entryway over the last few weeks (getting rid of the wallpaper, painting, adding beadboard wallpaper to the lower half of the walls, painting the stair treads and spindles, adding a runner, etc) so I had started looking into some options for replacing the thermostat. Once the rest of the entryway started coming together it made the thermostat stick out even more. Well, someone contacted us to see if we were interested in receiving  a Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat with Voice Control. After doing a little more research I jumped at the chance. This new thermostat will allow me to control the temperature in my home from anywhere. And by anywhere I mean anywhere from the couch to another country. The Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat features a customizable touchscreen, Wi-Fi remote access, and voice control. For instance if I am out of town and realized I forgot to turn the air up or down I can just open up the app on my phone and raise or lower the temp. The fact that it is voice activated means if I am busy working on my computer at night and it starts to get cold all I have to do is say, “Hello thermostat, can you please make it two degrees warmer.” I am really excited about that feature! Haha! As I am sitting here typing this up I am wishing it was already installed because it sure would come in handy right now.
