Month: October 2013

Although our powder room just got finished up (well, not completely finished but the big projects) last week our entryway has looked like this for a few weeks now. I put off photographing it because I was hoping to switch out the light fixture and thermostat before I photographed it.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Even though neither space is completely finished I got our entryway and powder room photographed so I am busy now editing the pictures and getting them ready to post showing the progress we have made so far in each space. I should have the entryway post up tomorrow (Monday) and the powder room later in the week.

Greetings! Jamie, Everly, and I wanted to share a fall recipe with
you today. It’s an old favorite that traces waaay back to my childhood
days of being treated to dinner at a restaurant named Major Leonard
Keep. My grandmother and grandfather would occasionally invite us along
to dine with them, regardless of whether we deserved it or not, and if
my memory serves me correctly, most often we probably did not!

I’m just popping in real quickly to let you know we have another one of our Christmas thermal designs now available as a print.  We have it available as a chalkboard print:

And also in black, gray and cranberry on white:

and white and green as well:

We’ll be back tomorrow with a guest post from my mom with one of our all-time favorite fall recipes and then seeing how the days and days and days of rain seemed to have finally stopped I am hoping to photograph our entryway and powder room in the next few days so I can share at least one of them next week (hopefully both of them!)

Have a lovely Wednesday evening!

I think we finally have a room that is feeling “finished”. Well, that’s probably a bit of a stretch seeing how I don’t think a room is ever finished, but all the main components are in here now. I am sure it will continue to evolve (for instance I still need to paint the legs on the sectional, I probably will paint the coffee table base a darker color and we eventually may get the gray cover for the sectional and I am sure if we live here long enough we will end up painting the again, haha!), but for now it’s nice to feel like a room is complete.

I am still plugging away on several hand-drawn Christmas chalkboard designs, but seeing how we’ve been getting requests about Christmas prints I thought we would introduce some of our past Christmas designs that are going to be available for the first time this year as both chalkboard and colored prints!
