Today is the second day of the It’s a Spring Thing Blog Hop and Linky Party.
Yesterday, Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline
started us off with a delicious looking Lemon and Blueberry Butter
Cake, and today I thought I would share a rustic/woodsy themed spring
tablescape.
I feel like I’ve been doing a lot of more
rustic decorating lately so I had planned on switching it up and doing a
more elegant looking spring/Easter table setting. I had a hard time
finding what I needed to create the idea I had in my head, though, and
so when I saw these little nests with the eggs in them and the oversized
moss mushrooms when I stopped into Savvy
(my favorite store in Williamsburg) I decided to go a completely
different route and do a more earthy woodsy feeling tablescape.
You can see what this topiary looked liked before I spray painted it in this post from a couple of years ago.
Be sure to stop by Kristin’s blog, My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia tomorrow for the next stop on the It’s a Spring Thing Tour!
And here is the rest of the list of the wonderful bloggers who will be participating later this week and next week: Kristin from Simply Klassic Home, Heather from At the Picket Fence, Shannon from Fox Hollow Cottage, Debbie from Debbiedoo’s, Heather from Setting for Four, Angelina from JoJo & Eloise, Vanessa from At the Picket Fence, Maryann from Domestically Speaking, KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms, Courtney from French Country Cottage, and Jennifer from Jennifer Rizzo – be sure
to follow along and on March 18th we’ll all be hosting one HUGE It’s a
Spring Thing Linky Party where you can link up your spring and Easter
posts.
I hope you all have a fabulous week!
Such a beautiful tablescape, Jennifer. The rustic tone is so lovely and inviting ~ perfect for spring.
It is all just lovely! I am stripping our dining table this afternoon…it's black…and I am OVER the black! I am leaving the wood top and cream legs…love yours.

This is my favorite decor you've done for Easter! Love those big mushrooms. I think you need to find a little fairy and hide her in it for the girls.

I love those little nests! And the mushrooms???? LOVE. This tablescape would look right at home in my house, where we love natural/rustic. Thanks for sharing the darling idea…I'll be pinning it for sure 🙂
Those mushrooms are the craziest thing I have ever seen. How neat. I would have never thought to use a moss effect on my table setting. Thinking outside of the box. I love it!
You are amazing. You always make everything so pretty! I love all the touches of green and the precious little nests. What is it about birds nests that are so sweet…

Hi!
Love your blog! It's a treasure trove of ideas! Can you tell me about your dining room table. I love that it's not a matching set!
Thank you!
Thank you! I made the table myself. You can read about it here: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/our-farm-house-table-saga.html
I also made the bench, which you can read about here: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/updated-fall-dining-room-with-new-bench.html
and also here is a tutorial on how I made it: http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/dining-room-bench-tutorial.html
The chairs on the side are from IKEA and the chairs on the end are from TJMAxx (I recovered them).
I hope that helps!
So gorgeous but I think its a bit hard way to make. But I am loving it much
Jennifer, so simple and beautiful as always! Lori Swearingen
Lovely. Absolutely beautiful! I adore the moss mushrooms. What a whimsical touch!
And now for a fun game of I spy… I spy new chairs!! Love! I can't wait for you to show them off to us Jenni!
Just lovely, Jenni! And your girls are so good. My kids would be all over that table within minutes, squirreling away the eggs to their own private nests.
Absolutely beautiful!! I love the centerpiece, those moss covered mushrooms are so cute!
Very pretty!! The nests are my favorite. I need to find some for my mantel!
Beautiful tablescape…just my style!!!

Thank you! Yes, it does.
Enchanting table! Love it. Where did you find the table runner or did you make it?
Thank you! It is handmade and we sell them: http://www.dearlillie.com/product/ruffled-table-runner

You've created a beautiful table setting, Jenni.
Are the mushrooms for sale? Did I miss how they are made? Please give source or instructions.
As mentioned in the post they are from Savvy.
It is my first visit to your site. I look forward to spending more time looking around.
This is the most stunning tablescape I've seen so far! Love, love it! Those moss covered mushrooms are just enchanting! Thanks for sharing!
I've just "found" you… and absolutely love your Easter tablescape. In fact, I love everything that you have done.. totally my style. I read where you got the mushrooms from Savvy..so I found them on the internet, but couldn't figure out if I could buy them. Do you know if they sell via-internet by chance. The mushrooms absolutely made your tablescape and are totally adorable. I'd love to have some and am now on a mission to find them somehow, as I love the "nature" theme. Keep up the great blog and pictures. Happy Easter to you and your family. Donna Rose
Hello Donna! Thanks so much! I don't know if they have any left (another reader said she called and they had sold out – but they may have restocked) but here is their number: (757) 259-7447
