We’ve still got a LONG way to go before the downstairs is fully feeling like our home, so I am just going to share a few pictures of the progress we’ve made so far these first couple of weeks. We’ve gotten some painting done and I’ve swapped out the hardware on the kitchen cabinets, the faucet and the pendants over the island but I am still waiting on some finishing touches for the shelf above the sink and a hutch for the area between the kitchen and breakfast area as well as the chandelier for the breakfast nook but here you can get a little look at some of it:

Here’s a little look at the kitchen the first time we saw this house:

We’ve had the sofas for a while not but got these chairs from Chita Living for this house and LOVE their simple clean lines and the girls love that they swivel. And they are a really great price.

The walls in the background of these pictures were still gray when I took these photos earlier this week but are Pure White now to match the walls in the main living space. Can’t wait to take some new pictures in another week or so once I get the doors painted and change out the doorknobs.

Well, that’s it for today! I’ve been plugging away on our front room which we are planning on using as sort of a library (you can follow along with that in our stories) and am hoping to wrap that up this coming week so that I can then switch gears and start painting some of the doors and changing out the doorknobs and then adding some wallpaper to our pantry area.
