Good morning! Another weekend is here. The weeks sure have been flying by lately. Last week I finished painting our master bedroom (actually, it may have been two weeks ago, I am losing track of time) and then put a rug down and put our new bed together. I am still finishing up some other details in the room but thought I would share a few images of what it looks like with the darker walls. It’s pretty similar to our bedroom at our last house. I know as a blogger you are kind of expected to mix things up a bit, but I loved the feeling of the dark walls in that room and how cozy it made the space and wanted to go for the same general feeling in our master here even though that probably isn’t as interesting to post about. If we had gone straight from our last house to this one I might not have. But after being in a rental and having all the walls the same gray I was excited to be able to paint again and because darker colors won’t work well in the main spaces I knew our master bedroom and my office were the two places I could use them again. I like how the framed photos looks in this little nook as you enter our master bedroom shows and the contrast between them and the dark walls. I think down the road I will do some kind of wall treatment to this spot but that’s down the list of projects.

And here is a little peek into the room. Although the overall feel is the same as our last bedroom I am planning on adding more warm elements to this one with wood tones, leather and more brown undertones. The movers broke both of our nightstands which was disappointing. We sold or donated a good bit of our furniture before we moved but we kept those because those were my favorite! We are temporarily using some end tables in here. I like how they look visually but I miss having at least one drawer to store a few things like books, devotionals, my glasses, and that sort of stuff so once I find some that work both style and size-wise I will move the end tables back to other spots in the house. For now though these are working fine and I do like how the wood looks in here.

I bought four of these large leather pillows and they are my new favorites! I’ve got two in here in our master and two on our living room couch.

These lamps are still probably two of my best HomeGoods finds ever! Unfortunately I have never seen them anywhere since.

Well, that’s it for today! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend !
