Well, we are back home after a nice little Christmas break and seeing how I am still busy getting the house back in order I figured I’d do a wrap up of some of our posts from 2014. (You can click on any of the links or photos to bring you to the actual posts which will contain all of the details).

In January we made more progress in our downstairs and upstairs hallways:

March was a slow month but we first found this recipe which we now make several times each month:

In May we did two of my favorite changes to our home. First we added marble and a farmhouse sink to our kitchen:

And then we made over the room above the garage to be a very pink playroom:

  1. Everything is beautiful…you have a real gift for renovation, re-purpose, design and decoration. The IKEA review was fabulous to read…very informative…makes me re-think IKEA.

  2. thanks for doing a "year in review" post, Jennifer! I had missed some of those so it was great to get to go back and see them…did a lot of "pinning'!

  3. I am so inspired by all of your accomplishments! Your home (and your family's homes) are just beautiful! I can't even imagine what you have in store for 2015 but I can't wait to follow along! Cheers! – Shelley

  4. Your home is so beautiful. I'm amazed by everything you accomplish each month. Thank you for your inspiring makeovers.

    Cindy

  5. Excellent post! You have done such an amazing job transforming your home. Lovely! Regarding Jason's dining room ceiling … Did you all install a wood ceiling? If so … Is there a post with details? How wide are the planks? I am considering installing wood to all of my ceilings.

    1. Thanks! His dining room ceiling was that way when he moved in (I believe it used to be a porch many years ago). I'm not sure how wide the boards are, but I would guess between 3"-4".

  6. The transformation of your house into a home is inspiring! I get lost in the pictures… beyond perfect! Thank you for all your time and hard work. I look forward to all your new designs and projects in 2015. Hugs & Happy New Year!!

  7. This really shows what a productive year you've had. Your home is so welcoming and beautiful! You did a wonderful job. It reminds me of the projects we have to tackle this year.

  8. Thank you Jennifer for the last two years of inspiration! You are amazing! The lord has truly blessed you with a talent! The talent is simply creating out of love!!! I know that every little detail in each space has a loving thought behind it! I have been most inspired by your passion for your family!!!! Just looking at your posts about your family warms my heart! Again, thank you for placing the Lord's love first in ALL that you do! Simply a beautiful testimony!!! "Whatever is noble, right, pure, and lovely… Think on these things". Phil. 4:8.

  9. Jenni, what made you go from white walls to grey walls (townhouse vs this new house)?
Also, I'm trying to redo my master bedroom and can't decide if I like the dark grey walls like you hd in your town home, or lighter ones like you have in this new home? What made you go lighter in your master? Is it easier to decorate?
    Thanks!

    1. Hi! Our new house gets very little natural light and the ceilings are lower, so I hoped the lighter colors would help make it feel less dark and dreary and help makes things look a bit more airy. Now that the house has been mostly made over I'm actually adding a few more dark colors in. I'll be painting our dining room Kendall Charcoal next week actually!
