I don’t know about you, but I LOVE Louisa May Alcott. I grew up reading Little Women over and over and watching both the 1949 version with Elizabeth Taylor and the 1994 one with Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes and Susan Sarandon. I loved many of her other novels as well.

I had seen this rosette style cake on Pinterest a while back and finally gave it a try! I wanted to make it using chocolate icing though and a yellow cake. Seeing how it was my first time ever using any actual cake decorating tools I didn’t really know what I was doing, but I have to say it turned out to be much easier than I anticipated.

For years now we have heard our dad talk of building a house. To be honest, though, we kids were all a bit skeptical this house would ever come to fruition (especially me – haha!) Well, lo and behold, they are just a few finishing details away from moving in!

Last week we took Lillie blueberry picking for the first time (Lola was there too but slept through the whole picking part). One of the places we spend quite a bit of time while we are in New Hampshire each summer is at my uncle’s farm.

Do you remember the lemonade sign from our lemonade stand? Well, we got some e-mails wondering if we would sell them, so we decided to go ahead and make some to sell in our shop. They will be available tomorrow but we thought we would do a little 24 hour giveaway to introduce them.
