Chocolate Valentine’s Day Cupcakes
On Thursday we made Valentine’s Day cupcakes for Lola’s class. I had thought we might make some red velvet ones with cream cheese frosting for a festive feeling but she very specifically requested yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Haha! So, we made some nice basic yellow cupcakes and then dressed them up a tiny bit with some different swirls and little embellishments on top.

Good morning! I am continuing to play around with some cake decorating while I wait on wallpaper samples for the girls bathrooms to arrive. This Chocolate Drip Cake with Polka Dots was my girls favorite so far! I figured out how to put together my first cake video.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to play around with a bunch of different flowers and had fun making these buttercream flowers on these cupcakes and mini cakes I think I am about ready to start taking some videos for tutorials now. In fact I am planning on starting to take some this coming week (although it may be another week or so before I figured out how to edit and upload them).
Good morning! Today I thought I would pop in with a few pictures of a cake we made. As I mentioned last week I have been playing around with some cake decorating and I’ve got one more post after this one with some photos and then I am hoping to start trying to take some video tutorials of some of the basics.
I’ve been doing tons of baking lately and trying out some different style cupcakes. Last week I used these Russian tips and had so much fun making these tulip cupcakes. It took a few tries to get it right, but once I got the hang of it it was so cool watching eat one form.
