A couple of weeks ago I decided to play around with a bunch of different flowers and had fun making these buttercream flowers on these cupcakes and mini cakes I think I am about ready to start taking some videos for tutorials now. In fact I am planning on starting to take some this coming week (although it may be another week or so before I figured out how to edit and upload them).
Good morning! Today I thought I would pop in with a few pictures of a cake we made. As I mentioned last week I have been playing around with some cake decorating and I’ve got one more post after this one with some photos and then I am hoping to start trying to take some video tutorials of some of the basics.
I’ve been doing tons of baking lately and trying out some different style cupcakes. Last week I used these Russian tips and had so much fun making these tulip cupcakes. It took a few tries to get it right, but once I got the hang of it it was so cool watching eat one form.

The girls and I did quite a bit of baking over our break including making this cake and these cupcakes. Good morning! I hope you all have had a lovely weekend so far. Today I wanted to share a few photos of our kitchen and an easy little Christmas cake we made. We’ve actually made two very similar versions of this cake in the last week or so – haha!
We’ve gotten Ruby a special treat for each of her last two birthdays so with Teddy’s first birthday and Ruby’s third on the horizon, a few weeks ago we started looking on Pinterest for some recipes to make our own little cakes for them. We ended up mixing a couple of different recipes together.
