As soon as we ordered this bed I knew that I would be recovering the headboard. When it arrived I quickly just threw some white fabric over it and figured I would properly recover it in the coming days. Well, that was almost a year and a half ago – haha!

Last spring we moved the rug that was in our family room up to the guest room. I loved that rug but in an attempt to save money I ordered a size smaller than I should have and it always bugged me. It went perfectly in our gray guest room though and so we moved it up there and I started hunting for a larger rug down here.
Now that all the main parts of the house have all been painted it’s time to start tackling the closets. We won’t be necessarily making them all “pretty” but we do need to clean them up and paint them. Our linen closet is right at the top of the stairs and seeing how a few members of our family seem to like to leave the doors open we figured it would be nice to clean this one up and make it more visually appealing after we got it painted.
We hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far. I haven’t finished typing up my linen closet makeover up yet but thought I would show you a little peek. Hopefully I will have it finished up in time for tomorrow. In the next post I will have a very detailed source list.
A couple of weeks ago we had a 70 degree day and it seemed like warmer spring weather was in the not too distant future so we started adding some spring like touches to our family room. Of course that turned out to be rather ironic seeing how the weather changed and this past week we’ve had snow and absolutely frigid temperature.
When we first walked through this house and fell in love with the neighborhood and floorpan we also knew that we would eventually completely redo both of the upstairs bathrooms (the powder room downstairs was more of an easy fix). Originally we thought we would do a temporary fix on the hall bathroom and completely gut the master that first winter.
