I hope you all had a blessed Easter weekend! Ours was filled with Easter egg hunts, yummy food, fun time with my sister, Dana, and her boyfriend and some lovely friends, and most importantly a truly wonderful Easter service. It was such a busy weekend that I didn’t finish up the post I had planned for today so instead I thought I would share some nighttime photos of our porch.

I feel like I spent most of February working on endlessly painting and other not-so-fun projects which of course didn’t really make for many blog posts and then we were gone for the first part of March. Anyway, I thought I would do a quick post covering some of the more boring projects that I have been working on and then I can get back to some more fun posts including the progress we’ve made at Jason’s house including his kitchen, living room and dining room and also lots and lots of photos from my niece Everly’s first birthday party!
Although we still have a ways to go before it’s finished I thought I would show you the progress we’ve made so far in our upstairs hall bathroom. We still need to add wallpaper, find mirrors (that has turned out to be a lot harder than I thought!
Whew! We’ve got quite a few projects going on right now – our upstairs hall bathroom is getting quite close to being done (well, not done but updated quite a bit!) and I’ve been priming and painting the trim in the little back hallway, the laundry room, the upstairs bathrooms.
I am so excited to share with you today about Soft Surroundings. I first heard of them last spring and quickly became entranced by their website and all of the beautiful items they carried. The second I saw this three-ring chest I fell in love with it and knew it would be the perfect piece to design our master bedroom around.
I’ve been wanting to add some of this seafoam color in here for quite a while now. I figured I would wait until after the holidays once I was ready for some cheerful spring-like touches. One of the things I love most about sticking with a neutral palette is that it is so easy to switch around a few pillows or accessories and get a new look.
