Although we still have a few finishing touches to add (like a door for the shower and some artwork for the walls) our master bathroom is basically finished! We thought this was going to be one of our first big projects that we would tackle when we first moved in three years ago but we kept moving other projects ahead of it so it ended up being our last big project – ha!

When we moved in we thought the master bathroom was going to be one of the very first things we tackled. Ironically three years later and it is the LAST project we are officially doing her in this house – ha! We just kept putting it off as we were unsure what direction we wanted to go in (we had at one point considered knocking a wall down and enlarging the space so we could add a freestanding tub, but that would have taken away from one of the bedrooms) while we remained indecisive on this space we continued to work on making over pretty much every other square inch of this house.
When we first walked through this house and fell in love with the neighborhood and floorpan we also knew that we would eventually completely redo both of the upstairs bathrooms (the powder room downstairs was more of an easy fix). Originally we thought we would do a temporary fix on the hall bathroom and completely gut the master that first winter.
