Christmas Decor Library
Good evening! Although I have more I plan on doing in here, I wanted to share some of the Christmas touches I’ve been adding to our library. I took these pictures a week or two ago and have actually added a couple of things since then so figured I’d better hurry up and post these photos now. I’d like to add some dried orange slices in here to give it a vintage Christmas feel but probably won’t have a chance to get to that until after Thanksgiving. For now though here are some photos of the library with our Christmas tree and some other simple little touches in here. We’ve used this tree in SIX different houses now and I still love it just as much as I did when we first got it. I have always preferred sparse trees because I like how the ornaments drape from them. Because it’s up against a window it looks considerably more sparse in these photos but you can see how it looks in the corner of our study last year here in this post. In years past I had always used some form of garland on this tree along with candle lights, but last year I decided to go really simple and just added some Christmas balls in different shades of brown and did the same thing for now this year. Some are shiny and some are matte. I also got some new lights last year nfor it and went with these ones and I have to say I think they are my favorite lights I have ever used!
I added a faux cedar wreath that I got 15 years ago (this one and this one have a similar feel to them) to the library ladder and tied it on with some velvet ribbon and then added some battery operated twinkle lights to it.
Love the vintage yet elegant feel of this embroidered Christmas tree pillow.
