Brown and Green Christmas Decor

Good morning! Today starts off the first of lots of Christmas decorating posts! Except for a few finishing touches (most fresh greenery that I will wait on until it gets closer to the holidays) I  am just about done with getting our house decorated for Christmas. The first space I am going to share is my study where I added some simple brown and green Christmas decor. I  started by putting a tree up in the corner of the room. We’ve used this tree in FIVE different houses now and I still love it just as much as I did when we first got it. I    have always preferred sparse trees because I like how the ornaments drape from them.  I usually put a some form of beaded or pom pom garland on this tree along with candle lights, but this year I decided to go really simple and just add some Christmas balls in different shades of brown. Some are shiny and some are matte. I also got some new lights for it and went with these ones and I have to say I think they are my favorite lights I have ever used. I went back out and got another string of them for our other unlit tree that is up in our bedroom. After that I added a wreath and some paper whites and a few other little cozy touches and that was it. I’d like to add a fresh garland to the mirror once it gets closer to Christmas (you can see where I did that last year here in this post) but other than that this room is now ready for the holidays.
